Don’t know what app I like yet.
- Connect have the worse UI in my opinion (things are hidden).
- Jerboa crashes a lot on my phone.
- Thunder is slow to load and the search is bad.
- wefwef I like the search and exploration, but the text editing is the worse.

It sounds like you’re on the default view in Connect. I would change it to Cards or full width and it will probably look a lot better to you.
Images are cut off no matter what view in connect
Wefwef is my go to on iPad and Liftoff on Android.
I am using Liftoff right now, but certainly will give Sync a try once it is ready

I switched from Jerboa to Connect, and then stayed with Connect.

Despite the iPhone-focused interface, I’ve found myself using Voyager/Wefwef the most. Liftoff is second. Jerboa is third as it is functional, but just doesn’t seem to match my work flow.
I also have Thunder and Connect, but I don’t find myself using those as much.
I’m also patiently waiting for Sync.
I love wefwef/voyager. This might not be a normal feature people use but I love wefwef’s deep linking feature (on android). I have a push notification system for lemmy which detects incomming emails from lemmy and uses ntfy to send reddit sync like push notifications. In wefwefs case I can set ntfy to open voyagers inbox directly. Voyager is also nice since opening a unread message (or interacting with it) auto marks it as read (which I don’t believe other clients do for some reason, I could be wrong though).
Seems like liftoff offers uploading images into comments :)
I use Liftoff, a relatively new app for Lemmy. It has replaced boty Jerboa and Thunder for me. So far so good
Yeah, I’m using Liftoff and wefwef interchangeably.
I’m switching between them too. I like Lemming, or any app that offers swipe to vote.
If your apps are slow or crashing you need to join a different instance. I switched from World to Blahaj and it’s insanely fast.
May be. I’m on Brazilian instance that runs on green energy. I’ll wait a little more, the instances are very young yet, let them have more time to grow 😁
Liftoff?
One thing that puts me off Liftoff is the dark theme isn’t dark enough for me but I find the Amoled mode too dark.
Yeah I agree completly. That puts me off too. Im using wefwef.app atm. Looks good, but too much ios like for my tastes. Also Liftoff now is crashing all the time.
I was just looking at lift off.
I was trying to look at other 3rd party apps just to see which I liked while I waited on Sync.
Liftoff is awesome. It’s what I’m using now waiting on Sync.

Just use liftoff. After all i’ve tried is the best.
Same. Now my only used app. Similar ish to infinity which I used before.
I’ve had almost zero issues with Liftoff other than switching the global sorting in the general settings causing duplicate posts from communities in the current instance I was in, but other than that it is fast, not bad looking and straightforward.
When did you last use Connect? All of these apps are improving fast. Right now, I prefer Connect.
I’ve been trying it, and I can’t find a way to visit an individual community from my list of subscriptions.

Agreed. I’ve been trying to rotate between Jerboa, Liftoff, and Connect and I just keep floating back to Liftoff for now. Finding I like the UI the best at this point and I’ve also been experiencing less issues with it as well.
But excited to see how they all continue to develop!
Liftoff feels so smooth, looks great, runs well, and is so intuitive. It’s easily my favorite Lemmy browser.
I have lots like OP’s pic, but keep clicking Liftoff. Well, after I’ve clicked Sync and closed it :(

Thunder is really slow otherwise I would consider it solid. Luckily Jerboa works fine on my phone and it is native.
I’m mostly on mobile for vacation reasons, so I’m chilling on wefwef, but if they don’t add blocking soon I’ll move on. Can’t handle the “blahaj”.
I’m most excited to try Liftoff because it looks like the most x-platform compatibility? I think I saw windows/macOS/iOS/android, and I use all 4. I prefer apps to website browsing for this sort of thing on desktop, so that’s attractive.
Interested to hear what other people are using/enjoying!
Liftoff feels nice, I just hope it had more theming options. Wefwef is nice but as a webapp it still feels a bit clunky.
