Honestly, yeah, I think I like it because those are the exact kind of antics it might promote. That was hilarious.
You could very easily do something like that with HERO System or FUDGE.
Last time I played HERO System our party included both a literal fallen angel and a small walking tank driven by an AI among the player characters.
Or do some kind of Apocalypse World/Dungeon World hybrid.

It’s always nice to run across a fellow Hero player. That’s been my main system for a long time. I love being able to GM any genre or strange cross-genre that occurs to me.
