The way I see it, they’re just going to make someone feel angry or shit. May as well have them direct as much of that energy, time, and capacity on nonchalant me instead of some poor kid.

I’ll try get a PB out of stretching it as well and maybe they’ll self-reflect after they realise. Eh, it’s more interesting than sudoku and for a good cause.

The fun part is when they think they’ve “made a breakthrough”, but are so completely wrong it’s unbelievable. Like the number of people who left conversations with me convinced that they had talked me out of “the trans agenda” and that I’m just a man like God made me. I’m assigned female at birth. 🤦🤣 They don’t even catch on when I agree with them (even though I’m non-binary).

Ah, yes. Confidence against anonymity. They’ve figured out and know everything about their “opponent”, the internet stranger. Assumptions are never a wise thing online.

Yep. Some of them even declared victory on a breakthrough about how I’ll never be a woman after I talked about having a hysterectomy. They’re clueless. Like they’re right, I never will be a woman, but they’re only right by accident.

Ha. Now I have White Town - I Could Never Be Your Woman stuck in my head.

Well, I’m glad you know the problem is entirely within the strangers and not you. That’s how you know they feel insecure about something; you’re doing nothing to harm a person but they lash out anyway and won’t stop until they feel like they “defeated” their insecurity.

Yep, like nothing any stranger has ever said to me about being trans has made me “change my mind” or caused me “to see the error of my ways”. Like I’m just trans, it’s that simple.
