Does/ did reddit have a limit like this?
I went back and forth with someone on Reddit for months on a single thread just saying bonk. That thread was long as fuck is all I know

It got to the point where I actually ended up making a discord bot named bonk, and you can just type BONK and it will BONK back, lol
I don’t know.
At one time it was discovered that there was no nesting limit.
And of course that caused people to start the “bottles of beer thread”.
We got something like
2,000 or 3,0001,300 into it before literal devs came into the thread and begged us to stop “you are breaking Reddit”.That resulted in the thread being shut down and nesting limits implemented. What those limits are, I do not know. I just know at one time they didn’t exist.
