Flies are not an enemy, and are fren food so they are ok.
Mosquitoes are the enemy, diseases, infernal sound and itchy bites. No purpose that flies aren’t here to do.

Tarantula hawks are big wasps but friendly (unless you’re a tarantula).
Rats are big fluffy friend that never shower, reek, and likely harbor many diseases 🥰
Rats actually keep themselves pretty clean, they are constantly grooming themselves. But yeah, I’d not pet a wild one.
