I’m old enough to remember Doom being blamed for Columbine.
The religious right loved DOOM initiaĺly because the whole goal is to kill demons. Of course you had the whole Jack Thompson thing going on, though. What a nightmare.
I always liked to point out how little they played Doom compared to how often they went bowling. It was obviously the bowling that drove them to violence. /s
