Except the people waiting behind you while you empty it will be just as inconvenienced and won’t even be paid…
Is this jacket or a shirt/dress? If it’s a jacket, You can take it off and put it through x-rays. If it’s a shirt/dress, I’m not sure of the consequences of walking through security naked or in your underwear…
The only difference would be that everybody else could see what the scanner technician sees. =\
I haven’t been to an airport with in years where only one person at a time can unload their stuff into the x-ray machine, usually they have spots for five or six persons.
This is not an issue:
I’ve done ziplock bags for cargo short contents before, speeds security checks up a lot.
Wouldn’t you just put it through the xray and then the TSA will pull you aside if needed?
Pretty sure your arrest for “willfully obstructing a federal agent” or some such bullshit would still cause the others considerable deiay…
Is this really all that different than them having to go through a backpack?
