can anybody explain the konami part to me? I am out of the loop.
Konami published a lot of games that had potential but they didn’t really take them anywhere.
Could also be they fired Kojima because they just wanted to release Metal Gear themed pachinko machines and Kojima wanted to make more ambitious and original games.

They keep releasing collections and new games are all outsourced.
