The DM was a DM asking us to change our no tankies policy and remove the fuck tankies banner as it was apparently upsetting hexbear users. Apparently tankies view the word tankie as a form of slur. The admin wants us to ally as a form of “left solidarity”
I spread the word on any instance having a discussion about it. lemm.ee currently has a post up about federating with Hexbear.
The word is “fuck tankies with a rake.” If they do end up federated with Hexbear, I would consider defederating from lemm.ee. But, that’s just my personal take. Blahaj isn’t my home instance.Lemm.ee is federated to everyone by default.
The thread is about discussing if we should defederate.
In general the admin is very anti defederation unless absolutely necessary, so I don’t believe it will happen.
