You probably use your hand to wipe your ass as well. Civilized people use a bidet. Like the french or smth, I don’t know I never used one.
I’m french, never seen a bidet except in foreign hotels.
Indians use bidets (not all of them, but water is the common method)
Hand washing your ass with water is much cleaner than those who only use toilet paper and call it a day
Can’t go wrong with a hole in the ground and a garden hose

In the UK squat toilets still get called French-style despite not beong found in France for generations.
