Some Lemmy instances have very low file size cutoffs for image uploads. I feel that the natural loss of pixels that happens everywhere over time is acellerated here.
I’m more inclined to think it was shared, reshared, and reencoded to hell and back.

If you stick two ends of a wire in a potato it can process jpeg.
