Does/ did reddit have a limit like this?
At one time it was discovered that there was no nesting limit.
And of course that caused people to start the “bottles of beer thread”.
We got something like
2,000 or 3,0001,300 into it before literal devs came into the thread and begged us to stop “you are breaking Reddit”.That resulted in the thread being shut down and nesting limits implemented. What those limits are, I do not know. I just know at one time they didn’t exist.

Looks like it got removed. We got this bitch up to 100 last night and all the comments past 2 got removed. Note the huge time gap between the original 2 and the new 3.
