  • You taking a photo of yourself probably isn’t used to peddle scams, plastic, and junk food as autruistic feel-good stories.

You also probably don’t plaster your face across every thing you post online.

You also probably have fun. Mr. Beast doesn’t do any of these.

  • Women are being tied to the same system as you are and not the same system as you want.

Women are the same for other things and I can do 🚯 for the better of them and the other thing and I can’t get to a good and not not not not not not not…

Women are not a grift for being on an esoteric route.

    https://www.acriticalhit.com/solved-miyamoto-quote-late-game-bad-forever

Turns the quote of “A late game is a game that arrives late, a rushed game remains bad forever.” is not from Miyamoto. It’s from a trans game dev from 1982/1992 named Siobhan Beeman.

While tweeting about my latest attempts, a mutual pointed out to me that the reason I’ve been having trouble finding her is that she’s since transitioned and changed her name to Siobhan Beeman. This is such a not-uncommon occurrence in the gaming industry that, honestly, anytime I can’t find someone and there’s no obituary, I assume they’ve simply transitioned.

Thanks to this new lead, I was able to get in contact with Beeman and ask about that GDC panel, and she confirmed: “To the best of my recollection I came up with that phrasing. The sentiment certainly existed in the industry, especially at places like Origin.” Beeman was the project director at Origin from 1989 to 1992.

“Hey can you help me finish dinner? Make sure the table is set up. Maybe grade some cheese.” Done.

“Dinner is ready! I didn’t mean it was ready-ready, I just used the wrong set of words to explain my desires and needs. Why are you upset that I’m not using the words in the language I thought you? Never mind, I clearly didn’t need any help according to you.”

If you’re adult, talk like one. If you’re a parent, communicate and act like one.

Sure a 5 year old doesn’t have the vocabulary and mental fortitude to understand or explain the concept.

But if you have a child, you raise them for 5 years, I assume you care about them. You can explain “Can you help mommy set the table?” or “Can you pass daddy the plates?”

You don’t need to explain the process of your work and the commute and other things. But if you just explained things to your children, they’ll understand. When my parents did, I got to understood the task and why they wanted it. When my mother or my boss barked orders without any understanding why or how, I was left more confused.

And trust me, I worked retail, most people are fine, some people are real pieces of work. I still have some horror stories of customers, some frequent, some once or twice. But what got me out of every single one, was talking it out. From a dude who had literally half of his skull and brain missing, to my co-workers, to the average customer I forgot by the end of my shift.

    • I think reading about lost media is interesting, especially when its some important event, or the search for it remains fun. Lost Doctor Who episodes are wild. Lost images of the first display of television is weird to consider, when anyone here has never been without television. I understand I’m probably weird on this however.
    • I think approachable and digestible is a good, but my mother really enjoyed true crime, and the two choices were “Direct weekly documentary” like a Cold Case Files, or something that reads as like its water cooler talk about this week’s new drama on Fx. Like the hosts really enjoyed reading about a double-murder. I also understand I’m probably pretty weird on this one.

  • “Hey as I’m being hired here, I want everyone to know that I have general anxiety disorder and bipolar disorder. I’m disclosing this to have proper accommodation, per state and federal law.”

    “Noted.”

“Hey my depression and anxiety is really high today, I can’t get out of bed and I fear everyone around me wants to attack me. Sorry for calling in 5 hours before my shift, but I can’t.”

“Well you’re supposed to come in today, no one else can. Take your meds.”

If you ever consider walking onto the highway next to your job to not be at work, leave the job. Fuck that company.

Deeply wanted to scream that each shift during the final weeks of my employment at a gas station.

Lie after lie, labor violation after labor violation, being gaslit day two of my employment. I still wish and hope that the owner of the store, Katie, keels over and dies.

And I’ve informed other employees (whenever I’ve had the misfortune of needing to step inside) about the violations of whats happening, and to report them. No idea if anyone does or even listens to me. I just try to make them know they are pawns.

  • So funny enough, I was the person who banned them like a week before, and it was due to me not following the chain of comments. If you want, I will share the discord mod log where I found out who and any, and double-checked the reality of the situation.

Believe me I don’t want transphobes running the biggest community on a trans server. But if every mod saw no issues, and I did, I assumed I was weird. And I was.
