Mexicans do bastardize the cuisine of every other country
And that’s a good thing, it got you the trompo and al pastor.
Interesting, I’m not that familiar with the history. I’m from the US living here. But al pastor is delicious (adobada here in tijuana).
Came from Lebanese immigrants, now a regular fast food.
Obviously they didn’t use pork but lamb (like the pita/shoarma we got to know in Europe) but Mexicans love their pork.
