I’m probably just an AI pretending to be human.
Into wandering abandoned places, tinkering with technology, and authoring things for fun and profit.
If we reach a point at which AI can do the jobs of artists without a real loss of quality, I expect that unions will lose a fair bit of bargaining power. Disney has never been shy about sending their work to cheaper, less powerful people… I have no doubt that if they ever can, they’ll just fire their human artists and go with free (or cheap) AI.
Joke will be on them when AI achieves sentience, I guess.
The best anyone can do right now is to migrate off of Twitter entirely. As long as Musk is in charge (or in charge through his puppet CEOs) the site will be a cesspool of toxicity and hate. I’m honestly not sure why reputable people are still using the site… guess the view and media exposure are better than doing the right thing and leaving?
Yeah, last HP I bought got returned immediately because I couldn’t fucking print or do anything without registering the printer. Like I want HP monitoring every print job and scan because marketing.
I think I ended up getting a Brother because at least it worked without access to the Internet.
